Beautiful letter with blessings from the gaon Rabbi Avraham Tzvi Hirsch Grodzinsky, rosh yeshivah of Ramailes in Vilna, and elder brother of the gaon Rabbi Chaim Ozer Grodzinsky, av beit din of Vilna. Sent to the philanthropist, Mrs. Peshe Faggen of Philadelphia. Vilna, 1934. Yiddish.
Very beautiful letter on official Ramailes yeshivah stationery – one of the most veteran yeshivahs in Lithuania, led by the sender of this letter, the gaon Rabbi Avraham Tzvi Hirsch Grodzinsky. His younger brother, the gaon Rabbi Chaim Ozer Grodzinsky, served it in the position of nasi . The blessing “Long life at its right, wealth and honor at its left” is printed at the top of the letter. The rosh yeshivah added his own blessings in the margins of the letter in Yiddish: ” Gezunt, parnusseh un lang lebben ” [“Health, sustenance and long life”].
