* Banknote with a face value of one American dollar, blessed by and given directly by the Admo”r Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson of Lubavitch.
The Rebbe once explained the segulah of the banknote with an emphasis on its influence on abundant livelihood as follows: Just as when one mixes remnants of a drink from the Rebbe’s kos shel berachah even into an entire barrel, the entire barrel gains the segulah of the remnants, in this same way, when a tzaddik’s money, even a single penny, mixes into a person’s property, all his property gains the segulah of ‘the tzaddik’s money’ and all his property becomes blessed! The Rebbe continued, explaining that this is the reason behind Chaza”l’s saying (Bava Batra 15) “Anyone who takes a penny from Iyov is blessed” – that even a small amount from a tzaddik – influences all a person’s funds!
Fine condition except for a perforation at the edge of the banknote. At the top of the back of the title page, the recipient noted “For livelihood and health …”
