Perhaps part of the halachic answer on issues of interest in the handwriting of Rabbi Mordechai Banet, Head of the Beit Din of Nikolsburg.
Rabbi Banet (750-1829) was one of the great rabbis of the Achronim, a posek and mystic, the renowned rabbi of Nikolsburg from 1790. He was a disciple of the author of “Noda B’Yehuda, ” Rabbi Shmelka of Nikolsburg, and was buried beside him. His friend the “Chatam Sofer” eulogized him thus: “… a righteous man of his generation who lead his people for 40 years and sustained everyone with Torah and fear of G-d, he was a master of the Talmud and infused with holiness.”
