Laws of the Sefer Torah, Tefilin and Mezuza. Halachic section with iyun and pilpul along with practical application, and kabalistic elucidations by Rabbi Yitzchak Dov Bamberger, Rabbi of Wurzburg. Altona, [1853].
This was the first book that the author published. He was a prominent leader of German Jewry. Lengthy approbation from Rabbi Yaakov Ettlinger, author of the “Aruch L’Ner”.
The last leaves feature the halachot for forming the letters. Next to each letter, there is a handwritten letter as it appears in Torah Scrolls. By a number of letters, particularly in regards to the צ, there is a question, is the י on its back written ‘straight’ or ‘backward’. Two versions of the letter are written there! One used in Torah Scrolls and other in Tefilin and Mezuzot!
