With an approbation from Rabbi Yeshayah HaLevi Horowitz, Ba’al HaShla”h HaKadosh, praising the author Rabbi Ya’akov Halperin and his sefer , and recommending purchasing it: “It is both appropriate and a mitzvah to print it and fill the world with knowledge. Anyone who sees it should buy it with pleasure …” The Shla”h wrote this approbation in Venice, on his way to the Land of Israel.
Two author’s introductions appear at the beginning of the sefer , relating his life story and that he lived in the home of philanthropist R’ Nechemiah Luzzato in Venice, to whom he is dedicating this sefer .
