Background: The author is a descendant of the Oppenheim-Werthheim family (refer to introduction). He was a disciple of the Noda B’Yehuda, dayan from 1800 and head of the Budapest beit din until his death in 1854, when he was almost 100 years old. His epitaph includes the assurance that someone who prays at his grave and gives charity for his soul, will have the All-Merciful listen to his prayers.
Condition: Very fine. Aging stains.
