Originally painted by the Jewish-Polish artist Leopold Pilichowski (whose self-portrait appears in the picture). The painting took took two years!Due to the large size of the original – approx. 2.5 x 5 meters, the artistic print was made in England by the publisher of the King and Queen: Raphael Tuck & Sons, apparently right after it was painted.
