Two letters with Torah-rabbinic-historic content handwritten and signed by the gaon Rabbi Yechiel Ya’akov Weinberg, author of Sridei Esh . Montreux, Switzerland. 1965-1969.
The first letter is halachic in nature; it is addressed to the gaon Rabbi Ya’akov Fink, av beit din of Haifah, and it deals with the issue of mixed marriages and the sanctity of the marriage. The second letter is also addressed to Rabbi Fink and it deals with a range of important historic-rabbinic topics. Montreux, Switzerland, 1969. Among the topics discussed in the letter are Rabbi Fink’s candidacy for av beit din of Haifa; Rabbi Weinberg’s publication of his sefer , Sridei Esh ; the yeshivah in Montreux, religious life in Montreux and more. Inter alia , the rabbi writes very sharply about Professor Heschel, “I am very upset with professor Heschel. He forgot what I did with him and for him before the War.” [1] postal postcard. 15 cm.
