Receipt given to philanthropist Steinberg for his donation to the holy yeshivah in Grodno. The right side of the receipt has a photograph of the rabbis and students of the yeshivah from 1929. “The money is for the holy purpose of supporting the Torah scholars of the Shaar Torah yeshivah who study Torah diligently day and night, and the students are destined to become among the great teachers in Israel” is printed on the receipt. On the bottom of the receipt there is a blessing from Rabbi Shimon Shkop: “In the merit of supporting Torah, may Hash-m give you blessing and success, may all your needs be met for the good.” Printed signature of Rabbi Shimon Yehuda HaKohen Shkop. 3 Kislev 1930.
