“May [you] be blessed from the source of all blessing with a good and healthy life, and with an abundance of blessing and success obtaining a good livelihood”
Sacred letter loaded with rare blessings. Entirely [over fifty words!] handwritten and signed by the awesome salvation-worker, the Admo”r Rabbi Avraham Elimelech Perlow of Karlin – one of the leading Admo”rim of the generations, and the only Admo”r who clearly foresaw the Holocaust through his Divine inspiration, and spoke explicitly about it in public many times. Karlinska 13/18, Karlin [Lithuania], undated.
Most of the Rebbe’s rare letters are actually written by the gabbai [and sometimes even signed by him instead of the Rebbe]. The uniqueness and great importance of this letter is that it was entirely written by the Rebbe himself, with his signature, a fact that takes on even greater importance given that it is loaded with rare blessings: for health, a good life, abundance, blessing, success, livelihood and more – a rare amulet handwritten by the tzaddik hador !
The Rebbe addressed this letter to R’ Aharon HaLevi Kalmanov, representative of Kollel Karlin in Jerusalem. The Rebbe mentions his followers in Jerusalem with affection, referring to them as “my beloved people” [“אהובי אנ”ש”], so that this letter, is, in a certain way, a “general letter” and this too is a component that makes it special. The sacred Rebbe, whose words were always fulfilled, grants rare blessings:
“And I will add to [your] blessings that [you] be blessed from the source of all blessing with a good and healthy life, with an abundance of blessings and success obtaining a good livelihood and all goodness, [your] friend and relative, who seeks [your] well-being, blesses [you] with all goodness, Avraham Elimelech …”
Due to his affection for the addressee, and from the depths of the sacred Rebbe’s gratitude to him, the Rebbe is especially effusive with his blessings. Already at the beginning of the blessings, the Rebbe uses the words “And I will add to [your] blessings.” This indicates multiplicity. No less than three (!) times, the Rebbe writes the abbreviation for all goodness [כ”ט] – once at the beginning of the letter. All this is aside from all the rare and explicit blessings for health and plentiful livelihood.
