Sefer HeAruch – elucidations of difficult words in the Talmud, arranged alphabetically, by Rabbi Nathan ben Yechiel Maromi, with references by Rabbi Shmuel Arkivelti. Venice, Bragadin Press. 1553.
The concluding words at the end of the sefer indicate it was completed at the press after Rosh HaShanah 1553, the year the Talmud was burned in Venice.
Signatures on the protective leaf: “Belongs to me, the youth Elyakum Getshlick, ” “The glosses here are from me, Ya’akov HaLevi …” – these are signatures by the gaon Rabbi Elyakum Getshlick Katz Alzantz, av beit din of Mannheim, and his son-in-law, Rabbi Ya’akov Koppel Bamberger, av beit din of Worms. At least six glosses appear along the leaves of this sefer , only some of which are in Rabbi Ya’akov Koppel’s script.
