Tikkunei HaZohar with the “Be’er L’Chai Ro’i” commentary … according to the foundations of the introduction to the Zohar, Talmudic midrashim and the Ariza”l’s writings, by the Admo”r Rabbi Tzvi Hirsch Shapira of Munkacs
Composition by the gaon and kabbalist, the Admo”r of Munkacs, on Tikkunei HaZohar. The top of the page contains the text of Tikkunei HaZohar and the commentary appears beneath it. There is an important introduction by the author printed at the beginning of the first part. During the course of the printing, before Part III was printed, the author passed away. His son, the Admo”r Rabbi Chaim Elazar Shapira of Munkacs, author of Minchat Elazar, wrote a lengthy introduction to this part. In it, he wrote that his father did not write a commentary to tikkunim 32-34 “and his wise reasons and proofs were that this was as a segulah so that the external ones would not be so envious as to make accusations against him to disturb him … and it is known from the early ones that those who deal in such a holy composition are provoked …” and so that the work would be complete, he himself wrote a commentary to these tikkunim (as well as for the last tikkun); and so that they would be distinguishable, he printed them in smaller letters.
