The letter was sent during the days of selichot to a group participating in a Torah class in Acre. The Rebbe increases his blessings towards the upcoming new year: “To [you] and all that is [yours], a blessing to be inscribed and sealed for a good, sweet year materially and spiritually. With blessings.” Here the Rebbe adds in his hand: “For success in everything.”
If we look at the meaning of these two words, we see that the Rebbe included, in two words, all blessings: “in everything” [“בכל”]- everything done, in every area, “for success” [“להצלחה”] – should be crowned with success.
The Admo”r Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson [1902-1994] was the seventh leader in the dynasty of Admo”rs of Lubavitch. He served as Admo”r from 1951 until his passing. He was a tremendous genius in all realms of Torah, and his net was – and still is – cast across the entire world.
