Protective amulet from the Baal Shem Tov, with the Psalm Shir HaMaalot at center, and the story of Eliyahu HaNavi at nights. ‘למזל טוב’ appears at the top of the page, on both sides, and the printer’s details in Yiddish on the bottom: צו האבען ביים פערלאג: שמחה פריינד, פשעמישל.
A similar, but not identical, amulet is in the National Library in Jerusalem, from Gershom Scholem’s estate.
