‘Castle’ spice box. Silver. Bezalel Jerusalem, around the 1950’s.
Smooth base, ornamented stem with a plaque ‘Bezalel Jerusalem’. The spice container is shaped like a castle with 3 blue stones set in it. An attractive pointed roof that can be removed to insert spices.
The flag on the top of the roof is missing. Good condition. See identical box: ‘Towers of Spice’ from the Israel Musuem, article 18.
