” With a blessing for success in the study of Torah … and fulfilment of its mitzvahs; clearly and simply including honoring parents; and may [you] see true spiritual satisfaction from him and the rest of the children, Chassidic Jewish spiritual satisfaction” (parts of the blessings in this letter from the Rebbe)
Letter loaded with blessings from the Admo”r Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson of Lubavitch to a young man who is beginning to study at the Tomchei Temimim yeshivah, and to the latter’s parents. With the addition of [7] words in the Rebbe’s own hand. Without a signature. 11 Menachem Av, 1963. Brooklyn, New York.
The Rebbe emphasizes in this letter before us the importance of the Tomchei Temimim yeshivah, “founded and administered by our rabbis and nesi’im …” and the importance of the young man – the recipient of the letter, “who is hewn from the same quarry from which they were hewn.” The Rebbe blesses profusely in his letter, first the young man’s parents “May [you] see true spiritual satisfaction from him and the rest of the children, Chassidic Jewish spiritual satisfaction” and then the young man himself “and [you] will certainly study consistently and diligently, both the revealed [Torah] and Chassidut, and may the study come to practice.” The Rebbe concludes “with a blessing for success in studying our holy Torah, the living Torah, and in fulfilling its mitzvahs.”
The Admo”r Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson [1902-1994] was the seventh in the dynasty of Admo”rs of Lubavitch. He served as Admo”r from 1951 until his passing. He was a tremendous gaon in all realms of Torah and his net was, and still is, cast over the entire world.
