The book is divided into two sections – photos of the streets and buildings of Jewish cities and photos of Jewish characters. It also includes photos of prominent Admors [Admor of Spinka] and noted rabbis [Rabbi Elchonon Wasserman, Rabbi Aharon Kotler], photos of prominent funerals, yeshivot, agricultural pioneers and more. Each photo has a Yiddish and English caption. The large majority of the pictures were taken by Roman Vishniac, M. Kipnis and Alter Kacyzna.
