* Tractate Shavuot, with Peirush Rashi, Tosfot, Ein Mishpat and Ner Mitzvah. Vienna, Jozef Horosontzkia press, [1796]. Unknown ediiton. Glosses in an antiquated hand. 49 leaves, 32.5 cm.Unknown edition that is not mentioned in the “Ma’amar al Hadfasat HaTalmud”, not listed by the Bibliographic Project and not in the National Library. This is an unknown edition based on the edition printed in Vienna in 1791-1797]. Though the titles of the title page notes: ‘with Peirush Rashi, Tosfot, Piskei Tosfot, Rabbeinu Asher, Piskei HaRosh, Peirush HaMishnayot Mei’HaRambam z”l..as printed”, these gemarot do not have the Rosh and Rambam. The printers then apology: “….now printed the gemaras…without the Rosh and pierushim of the Talmud…so that everyone could purchase it for their sons at a good price..”It seems that the printers printed a smaller edition for young Torah scholars in yeshivot, whose fathers could not afford to buy the larger edition.
Solitary tractates of this edition are known [Berachot, Pesachim and Chagiga], but these tractates are unknown. Both of these tractates bear marginal glosses in an antiquated hand, some corrections and some scholarly comments.
