Rare Judaica item!! Beautiful black-and white portrait of the Rishon LeTziyon, Rabbi Ovadia Yosef – Printed on paper, with a handwritten and signed dedication from him with blue ink. The picture depicts Rabbi Ovadia sitting on his chair, wrapped in the robe of the Rishon LeTziyon and crowned with his characteristic mitznefet head covering. [Jerusalem, c. 1973.]
Aside from the historic value of the picture signed by Rav Ovadia is its accompanying relatively great segulah value. Pictures of gedolei hador are known to be used as amulets for protection and success [such as pictures of Rashb”i and Rabbi Yeshayaleh of Kerestir]. There is also the famous picture of the Ben Ish Chai he sent to the gvir David Sasson as a segulah, upon which the Ben Ish Chai wrote and signed a dedication.
[1] picture in black-and-white. 16×11 cm. With a dedication handwritten and signed by Rav Ovadia.
Very fine condition.
