Commentary and explanations on the Torah. Most of it using our Sages’ midrashim, acronyms, gematria and the like. Apparently written in the area of Bukhara or Persia. In Chumash Vayikra, which is read during the months of Nissan and Iyar, there is commentary on the Passover Haggadah and on several chapters of Pirkei Avot. At the beginning of the Torah portion of Miketz, the year “659” [1899] is written.
There are hundreds of glosses and comments in a different script on the body of the book and on its first leaves in addition to the composition itself. Apparently not printed.
