The ACME Thunderer whistle, made in England. One side is engraved: ‘ ארגון א. פ. ב.- מחזור ט’ (‘A. P. B. Organization, 9th Cohort’) on the reverse, the initials A. P. B. are engraved.
There are various hypotheses as to the source of the whistle, but we have not been able to establish with certainty the name of the organization which used the whistle. These types of whistles were usually used in the 1930s by policemen or soldiers. According to what is written on the whistle, it is some type of Zionist Organization which was established in 1925, apparently in the Land of Israel or Western Europe.
2×6 cm. The whistle has a ring and lace for tying. Rust marks, fine condition.
