Marei Mekomot–sources to the shiurim (lessons) in Yeshivat Mir in the handwriting of HaRav Chaim Shmulevich. 1969-1971. [4] leaves, 15 x 10 cm. Three lessons (9 leaves) out of the four which were typewritten and distributed in Yeshivat Mir after the shiurim. In very good condition. It is noteworthy that HaGra”ch always registered the marei mekomot (sources) in six lines and almost always in an equal number of words on every line! This important phenomenon was already written about at the end of the memorial book to HaGra”ch (page 82). It is not known the reason for this. [2] Pamphlets of new ideas in the handwriting of the Gaon Rabbi Gershon Hanoch Henich Fishman, head of the Beth Din Rudki Kosky. 1930s. [14] Pages, height 35 cm, width 22 cm. Two of the pamphlets were printed in his book “Simchat HaChag” (Section 3 and Section 14). HaGaon Rabbi Gershon Hanoch Henich Fishman (5660-5726) was the son-in-law of the Gaon the Tsaddik Rabbi Eliyahu Dushnizer. He was born in Brisk in the year 5560 and the Gaon Rabbi Aharon Leib Steinmann has confirmed that he was one of the prodigies of the town. Similarly, HaGrach Kanievsky has confirmed that his son-in-law Rabbi E. Dushnizer would raise many new ideas in his lessons in the Yeshiva, in the name of his son-in-law, as mentioned above. He learned Torah in the Branowitz Yeshiva of the Gaon Rabbi Elchanan Wasserman and also in the Yeshiva Lomdei Zikney Ha’ir, and from the Rav of the city, HaGaon Rabbi Aharon Baktz. Served as Head of the Beth Din of Rutki in Poland and from 5697 as Rav of Herzlia until his death. His compositions that were published include: Simchat HeChag (Bligorei, 5697) Mei HaChag, Sfeika Derabanan and Kedushei Shaah. A few tears, time related stains. In good condition.
Collection of amulets written by Rabbi Yitzchak Kaduri, ztz”l, for men and women who requested them. 20th century. 23 leaves. Different sizes. Paper. Eastern style handwriting. The amulets were written in his handwriting on re-used pieces of paper, notes and pages. Includes segulot in a different handwriting (three leaves), not bound. Generally in good condition.
Handwritten lecture from Rabbi Yosef Shalom Elyashiv [1958]. [1] leaf lined. 16 x 20 cm. Extensive notes on both sides of the page. Long lecture with erase marks. The lecture was delivered in the Tiferet Bachurim shul in the Meah Shearim neighborhood of Jerusalem, in 1958, at a gathering for its annual holiday. For over seventy years, Rabbi Elyashiv delivered a daily lecture in gemara to his followers, as the successor to his father in the Beit Midrash Tiferet Bachurim. Rabbi Yosef Shalom Elyashiv [1910-2012] was born in the city Chavel in Lita as an only child to his parents after 17 years of marriage. In 1924 he made aliyah to Israel with his family and settled in the Meah Shearim neighborhood of Jerusalem. As a child he helped his grandfather, the kabbalist Rabbi Shlomo Elyashiv with his composition Leshem Shvo Vachlama. He studied Torah in various Batei Midrash in Jerusalem. Eventually became renowned as the posek hador and leader of the Ashkenazi Charedi Jews. Not checked if the lecture was published. Minimal stains. All legible. Fine-very fine condition.
A large collection of the writings of Maran HaRav Ovadiah Yosef, .זצוק”ל About fifty leaves, including drafts for the introduction to his work Chazon Ovadiah on the subject of Pesach, with alterations to the printed version. Halachic responses in his handwriting, some of them long, and letters on matters of halachah in response to questioners, with his signature. Everything is on his official stationery, from the 1980’s. Jerusalem Geniza unknown, Mosdot Tzedakah V’chesed in Jerusalem, years 1910-1930. Some 60 documents from the first half of the 20th Century. Amongst them letters, receipts, postcards, lists of members and more, related to the Yeshivat Meah Shearim, Pri Etz Chaim, Ohel Moshe and other charitable and benevolent institutions. Includes letters which were sent from Vilna to Jerusalem during the years (1912-1913). In different languages. In various states of condition. Most of the letters with the original envelopes. Some with wax seals. The contents were not sufficiently examined.

Letter to Rabbi Shmuel Salant on behalf of the needy in Jerusalem from Joseph Sbag-Montifiore, English, Ramsgate, 20th century. [4] pages, Height 15 cm. Width 10 cm. Folded in original envelope height 8 cm. width 10 cm. Written on three pages of official paper. On the back is stamped a symbol different from the Montifiore family symbol. Letter handwritten by Joseph Sabag-Montifiore, written to Rabbi Shmuel Salant, Rabbi of the Ashkenazi Congregation in Jerusalem. Sent from Ramsgate, England on March 21, 1902. Joseph Sabag-Montifiore sent 12£ to Rabbi Shmuel Salant.
Letter sent by Sir Moshe Montifiore to Jerusalem from Ramsgate, England, 1881. Height 19.5 Width 12 cm. [1] page. Written on official paper of the Holy Land Company. Letter from Moshe Montifiore to: the modest woman Feigel Rivka, widow of R’ Avraham Samuel, z”l, in the Holy City Jerusalem. Montifiore included £4 as a donation for the widow and adds blessings, among them: May the One Who chose Zion hasten to bring mercy on His inheritance and we should all merit to go up to Jerusalem the Holy City on the three pilgrimage festivals speedily in our day. Signed by Montifiore in large English letters when he was 96 years old. Aging stains, small cracks on the paper on the original folds without loss, fine condition.
Rare personal invitation to the 100th birthday party of Sir Moshe Montifiore, signed personally, Ramsgate, England [1885]. Height 33 cm. Width 21 cm. Written on official paper with the symbol of the Montifiore family. The invitation was sent to the Leaders of Congregation Adat Yeshurun Brisk and signed personally by Sir Moshe Montifiore when he was nearly 100 years old. Added on to the official text of the invitation are the names of the rabbis invited and on the bottom of the page it is written: As a gesture of strong friendship… all the cherishers of Zion who long to raise up the flag of Israel. Montifiore’s signature is in English in big letters on the bottom of the page. Sir Moshe Montifiore (1784-1885), the famed benefactor who spent his whole life helping the Jewish Nation, merited to be honored when shortly before his death Jewish communities throughout the world celebrated his 100th birthday, producing pins and books in honor of the occasion. The philanthropist died at an old age in Ramsgate, England, a short time after this invitation was sent from there. Four stains on the margins of the page, tiny hole with no loss to the text, fine condition.
