Three promissory notes issued per halacha by the Morocco batei din, signed by the dayanim. 19th century.
Specifications: [2] leaves, doubled leaf, 11×9 cm. Signatures on the back of the leaf. [1] page, doubled leaf, 14×10 cm. Sephardic hand.
Unique features: The first note is dated [1842]. The second is dated [1854] and was issued in Fez. It is signed by dayanim: Rabbi Yaakov HaKohen Skali and Rabbi Dovid Malka. The third note was issued in Tangier in 1870 and is signed by Rabbi Moshe Chalava and another dayan.The notes begin with the customary Moroccan text: הע”ע בקש”מ בדל”ב ובשח”ח כ”א למ”ש.
Condition: Fine-very fine. Fold marks. A few stains on one note.
