Background: Rabbi Shlomo Halberstam of Bobov, was the son of Admor Ben Tzion of Bobov. He was born in 1908 and named for the founder of the dynasty, Rabbi Shlomo of Bobov, son of Rabbi Meir Natan Halberstam, son of Rabbi Chaim of Sanz. He received smicha from Galician rabbis at a young age. In 1931, he started serving as rabbi in Bobov. He was miraculously saved from the Nazi destruction and moved to the United States in 1946 where he restored the Bobov chassidut after the Holocaust. He passed away in 2000. His Torah was printed in Kivatzei Kerem Shlomo and Likutei Kerem Shlomo [Encyclopedia L’Chassidut, section 3, p. 706].
