Two documents, written one under the other, attesting that the husband has paid his ex-wife her entire ketubah, and that she has no claims against him. Written and signed in Kiryat Aras in 1834. Separate signatures for each one of the documents.
Kiryat Aras is apparently the settlement Kiryat Al Ras in Naft Hashad, north of Yemen – refer to M. Gavra, Encyclopedia L’Kehillot HaYehudiyot B’Teiman Part II, pp. 532.
The witnesses signed on the document include: Yichya ben Daoud Kapach, Yichya ben Avraham Kapach, Amran ben Yichya, Salam Nachum, Sa’id ben Sa’id Kochlani.
According to the signatures on the document before us, it is a copy that was made – as is customary – at the same time the original was written.
