HaEmunah HaRamah – Jewish philosophy by Rabbi Avraham ben Daoud HaLevi [known as Ra’ava”d] of Tolilta. Copy which belonged to Rabbi Nachum Dovber of Sadigura, paternal grandson of the Admo”r Rabbi Yisrael of Ruzhin. Stamp on the title page: “Nachum DovBer Friedman” and with an additional stamp: “kinyan kaspi.”
The book was printed with German translation and also an elucidation in German, yet the copy before us includes only the Hebrew part. It is possible that the Admo”r – who was known for his sharpness – tore out the German part.
The Admo”r Rabbi Menachem Nachum Dov of Sadigura – Rabbi Nachum Ber’nyu (see more about him in this catalog) owned a large library, and would stamp his books according to their source. This book is stamped “kinyan kaspi” indicating that he bought the book in order to study it.
