Each of the deceased was designated a page index including a “declaration” by the leaders of the burial society with information about the deceased’s life, his age, his place of residence, his marital status and more. Further details deal with the burial proceedings, the shrouds, the eulogies and more.

Important memento of an important and flourishing Jewish community. As is known, during that period, the Admo”r Rabbi Yisrael Hager of Vizhnitz, author of Ahavat Yisrael , resided there and this location was where he conducted his court.
