Lengthy missive on deep halachic issues handwritten and signed by the gaon Rabbi Mordechai Shlomo Berman, rosh yeshivah of Ponovezh and son-in-law of the Steipler, ztzuk”l. Bnei Brak, 1965.
The letter was sent to the renowned gaon Rabbi Ephraim Greenblatt, author of the responsa Rivevot Ephraim , a leading posek in the United States, and one of the most prominent disciples of the Iggerot Moshe. The letter discusses two things: 1) a reply to a comment written by Rabbi Greenblatt on his sefer , Asher LiShlomo , with regard to whether it is permissible to leave in the middle of Kriyat HaTorah on the night of Simchat Torah, which is just a custom, and not an obligation. 2) an issue in Kodshim .
