[1] letterhead, 28×22 cm. [12] lines written and signed by the Admor of Pittsburgh, with the addition of a blessing written and signed by his wife [Sara], the rebbetzin. The letter is addressed to one of his brothers and is dated 1930. The Admor writes warmly to his brother and asks that he pray for his success and for a good year. Rabbi Yosef Leifer, founder of the Pittsburgh chassidut, was the son of Rabbi Yissacher Ber of Satmar, leader of the chassidim in Kruli. In 1926, he moved to the United States where he led his chassisdim from Pittsburg, Pennsylvania and was known as a righteous person and wonder worker. This is an early letter, written in 1930, from his first years in America. Very fine condition.
