Group of [11] letters from the rashei yeshivah of Telz in the United States, the cousins the gaon Rabbi Mordechai Gifter and the gaon Rabbi Baruch Sorotzkin. The letters deal with Torah topics, yeshivah matters and public needs the two personages dealt with their entire lives, yet they also deal with family relationships.
It is especially interesting to see in these letters before us, how these lofty families from the aristocracy of the yeshivahs in the Land of Israel and the United States – administer their yeshivahs, how one yeshivah that is presently in a better situation supports the other yeshivah that is not doing well – and is even in a different country – and how the rashei yeshivahs account for every perutah (penny) with each other, even as full brothers, because they are dealing with sanctified funds.
