Machzor for Shavuot and Sukkot, with commentaries and Ivri Teitch translation, including prayers by the Chid”a for the hakafot of Simchat Torah. The back flyleaf bears the signature of the gaon Rabbi Meir HaLevi Soloveitchik.
The gaon Rabbi Meir HaLevi Soloveitchik was born in 1929 to his father the gaon Rabbi Yitzchak Ze’ev of Brisk. He was the youngest son, and his father nicknamed him “The Ilui” (“The Prodigy”) and enjoyed studying with him very much. He established the Brisk yeshivah in the Achvah neighborhood of Jerusalem, and taught Torah to hundreds of married and unmarried scholars and followers. He was also known for the lessons he would deliver in his home that drew many to it. He passed away on 24 Adar II 2016 and was buried close to his father on Har HaMenuchot in Jerusalem. (See more about him in the book D’Chazitiheh L’Rabi Meir by Rabbi Shimon Yosef Maller, two volumes.)
