We must note that the book of the Zohar was a great discovery in those years for the general public. The Book of the Zohar was published for the first time only about 8 years before the printing of this present book. The author Rabbi Moshe Galanti was of the great sages and kabbalists of Safed. He was from the same group of Chachamim who renewed ‘Smichah’ in Safed in the time of Rabbi Yosef Karo. At the beginning of the book the famous collector Dr. Mehelman wrote “a precious discovery”.
