Beautiful scribal script, vowelized with upper vowelization. The tiklal includes: prayers for Passover, the Passover Haggadah, ashmurot , high holidays, Sukkot, Shemini Atzeret, hoshanot , hymns for Simchat Torah, Chanukah, Meggilat Bnei Chashmona’i, Purim and more. Page 68a contains a chart of leap years from 1690 through 1712. Due to the well-known government ban on establishing printing presses, Yemenite Jews were forced to manage with transcriptions until the 20th century. This is a prayer book that was used very often, and it survived over 300 years! [51] leaf, written on both sides. There are apparently several missing leaves. 28 cm. Moderate condition. Tears in many leaves, with incomplete text. The tears with lack were completed with professional paper completions. Many usage stains. Old binding (not the original) with a leather spine. Somewhat worn.
