Amulet for fertility and protection from all illness written by the G-dly Kabbalist Mulla Chananyah Shraga, sixth-generation descendant of the renowned dynasty of Kabbalists who served in immediate succession as leaders of Persian Jewry from the leader of the dynasty, the G-dly Kabbalist Mulla Chananyah Ohr Shraga. This amulet was written by the mulla Chananyah Shraga per the precise tradition received from his sacred forebears, not to just anyone, but for his daughter, his own flesh-and-blood, who had not yet been privileged to have children. The amulet stands out for its beauty, its elegance and its special, precise writing along the entire amulet. Needless to say, the amulet was indeed effective, and his daughter experienced salvation – she had sons and daughters! This amulet was written primarily for fertility, but it also protects and heals from all physical and mental illness, as the mulla describes: “Complete recovery from all illness and disease, phobia, shock and all sorts of demons and damagers … and all types of evil eyes.” The mulla then goes into a very detailed description of the main purpose of his amulet – fertility: “May no fruit of her womb miscarry; may she not lose a child; may she be granted, in Your great mercy, viable offspring, healthy and good, with no deformity; may her womb and its openings close and be sealed with the two seals of Your sacred Name; may and she and the fetus continue to draw from Heavenly mazal … Children, health and sustenance.” At the beginning and end, the mulla Rabbi Chananyah wrote sacred Kabbalistic Names, the source of the amulet’s spiritual power. Writing amulets is reputed to demand tremendous expertise and precise tradition to the level of each letter and each vowel. Without this, such an amulet is like an inert stone with no influence at all. (There are those who compare it to a typo or one mistaken keystroke in an email or telephone number.) Therefore, most amulets on the market, which are not written by an authorized Kabbalist, have no value and are sometimes even dangerous to their wearers! The Gemara (Tractate Shabbat 61b) states: There are clear rules for effective amulets: “Rav Papa states: It is clear to me – three amulets for three people, three times – expert person and expert amulet.” That is to say, a person who has written three amulets, for three people, three times and the amulet has been effective, only then are the amulets of said writer considered to have spiritual powers, and they are guaranteed to perform their intended action. It is important to emphasize that in the discussion there, a used amulet (even if one written for someone else) is a greater segulah than a new amulet, because there are two virtues together: “expert person” and “expert amulet.” (Refer to Talmud Bavli Tractate Shabbat 61b). This amulet was written by the leading Kabbalist of Persia in his generation, from the famous family of Kabbalists known for their amulets that worked wonders and overcame the natural order of the world. Who better than they meet the requirements of the gemara for an “expert person, ” as not only three amulets worked as intended – but hundreds and thousands of amulets written over many generations healed the sick, brought children to the childless, and enacted miracles. This is well-known in glorious Persian Jewish tradition. Not only that, but this particular amulet also meets the gemara’s additional condition and description: “expert amulet” – as this very amulet healed its owners who had been childless.
