Mishmar V’Sport card album, published by Dubek. Tel Aviv, 1940. 288 pictures have been pasted to the pages of the album. They depict the construction of the land, in three sections: HaMishmar [Jewish “notrim” – settlement police], Jewish sport [athletics, competitive games, fencing and more], and capturing the land [land, air and sea]. Dubek put cards into the cigarette boxes that they sold. The British banned the distribution of some of the cards in the series, claiming that they unnecessarily emphasized Jewish independence. This is one of the nicest albums published in Palestine at the time. Complete album. 64 pages. 31 cm. Detached binding, fine condition.
