Bolla della Santita di Nostro Signore Papa Clemente XI, a fauore degli Ebrei, & altri Infedeli conuertiti alla Fede Cristiana.
Papal bulla given by Pope Clement XI in Rome, 1704. The bulla discusses Jews and their conversion to Christianity. It naturally encourages Jews to become Christian, and sharply censures Jews who retain their blindness.
The poster details the rights and the status of Jews who convert to Christianity. For example, these converts are allowed to marry Christians and participate in celebrations of Christian holidays, and they will be baptized. The are allowed to own real estate, which had been forbidden to Jews by the Pope Paul IV in 1555. The decree also declares that Christian preachers should preach to the Jews in their synagogues on Shabbats and on holidays, as had already been established, and more.
