Rabbeinu Yaacov Weil was born to his father Rabbi Yehuda in the town of Weil (Weil der Stadt, a village to the west of Stuttgart, Germany) in the year [1390] approx., and died in Erfurt Germany before the summer in [1453]. According to family tradition he was buried in Nuremburg. Served as the Rabbi in Nuremburg, Augsburg and Erfurt.
Signature: “Yosef Jozef son of Rabbi Moshe of the Weil family” and at the end of the book “my son was born in 1812 and his sandek was my brother Moses Wartheimer”.
New soft-cover leather binding. A few stains due to age and some darkened edges. Wide margins. Very good condition.
