Seder Tefillah im Derech HaChayim … with an appendix to the prayer service, a commentary compiled according to the basic meaning … and the addition of more glosses and legal novellae … as well as some pleasant words, morals and good conduct for their designated times, and much more … all compiled and arranged by Rabbi Shlomo Ganzfried of Ungvar. Vienna, 1879. First edition.
Siddur for the entire year – for weekdays, Shabbat, festivals and the high holidays. With the Passover Haggadah, Yotzrot and Selichot .
This is the first edition of the supplements – the glosses and legal novellae composed by Rabbi Shlomo Ganzfried, known as the author of Kitzur Shulchan Aruch , in his youth. This work bears the approbation from Rabbi Meir Eisenstadt of Ungvar for Rabbi Shlomo Gantzfried’s work. The title page describes Rabbi Shlomo Gantzfried as “from the Ungvar community, presently residing in Homenau.” This detail bears great significance for the clarification of the author’s biography, and his biographers discussed it. The work was later printed in a great many editions of Siddur Derech Chayim .
Rare siddur. The copy scanned in the National Library only goes up to leaf 103. Mif’al HaBibliographiah lists this sefer according to a privately-owned copy. The additional copy viewed by the editors of Mif’al HaBibliographiah has Tehillim added to it as well, with a separate title page, but this copy has no mention of Tehillim and the sefer appears to be complete, with the index leaves at the end.
Impressive copy. Printed on thick paper.
