The Siddur of the Sfat Emet edited by Rabbi Wolfe Heidenheim, Redelheim 1938. Historic siddur used by a group of Jews while in a displaced persons (DP) camp after the Holocaust.
On inside of cover is a dedication from 1945 from a group of displaced persons who gave it to one of their group as a keepsake and wrote: “With this siddur we cried out in prayer before the merciful G-d in the regular minyan of the DP camp in the Esplanade Hotel in Caux.”
Ten individuals are signed to the dedication.
