Torah that he relayed at the Friday night kiddush, written by chassid Rabbi Avraham Mordechai Yosef Wakshtock. Includes stories of his experiences during the Second World War, Torah that he heard from this father and more. It additionally includes Torah relayed by the Admor in his home, on erev Shabbat, Parshat Toldot, 1973; “shmuessen” that he relayed and were written down by his disciples A.N. Klein; Rabbi Yitzchak Dranger, and H. Y. Schwartz on Chanuka, parshas Mikeitz, 1974, which includes ideas that he heard from his father when he was a child, and more. These “shmuessen” were never printed. Rabbi Yisrael Alter [1895-1977] was the fifth Admor of Gur, and was known for the name of his work Beit Yisrael. In 1948, after his father’s death, he was appointed Admor. He tended to the Gerer chassidim that lived in Eretz Yisrael from before the war and Holocaust survivors. He was the president of the Moetzet Gedolei Hatorah. Filing holes in two leaves. Very fine condition.
