Volume of mishnah – Seder Taharot with commentaries. Dyhernfurth, 1783. Copy that belonged to Rabbi Yehudah Bachrach, known for his glosses on Talmud Bavli and the mishnah entitled Nimukei HaGri”v and Hagahot HaGri”v , printed in most edition of Sha”s and mishnah to this day.
On the last leaf of the book, there is a signature of the author of Nimukei HaGri”v (in tiny letters under the loops): “The youth Yehudah Bachrach, residing in Seini, ” and on the first leaf, an owner’s notation from his father-in-law, the great leader R’ Yisrael of Berlin (from whom he inherited the sefer ). Along each volume of mishnah, the gaon Rabbi Yehudah Bachrach noted his famous glosses, entitled Nimukei HaGri”v , later printed in all important editions of the mishnah, beginning with the Warsaw 1861 edition and to this day. Most of the glosses are lengthy, even very lengthy (the first gloss is over a hundred words). There are over 600 lines of glosses. This is apparently the entire work on Seder Taharot.
