Beit HaRiya by Rabbi Avraham Arusi together with leaves from other works by the author, some unique. Yemen, [1911].
58 leaves. 11×18 cm. Yemenite script. Sketches.
Beit HaRiya written by Rabbi Avraham Arusi, from the first edition of the work (the second, expanded edition from 1919 is in the Ben Zvi Institute, 3370). Solitary leaves from other manuscripts were bound at the beginning of the work, including a title page for Ohel Moed by the same author and two pages of the book. This work regarding the halachot of gittin and kiddushin was never printed, and apparently does not exist in any other manuscript.
Rabbi Arusi was born in Yemen in 1878 and immigrated to Eretz Yisrael in 1923. He wrote books, hymns, and poems, only a selection of which were printed. Refer to Toratan shel Bnei Teiman, (Kiryat Ono, 1995), p. 89-91.
Half-parchment binding. Aging stains. Moderate-fine condition.
