On the title page: As per the instruction…of Admor ..Yisrael of Ruzhin ztz”l, grandson of the angelic author. Approbation of Rabbi Yisrael of Ruzin at the beginning of the book (one of his only three approbations) in which he relates that his grandfather’s manuscripts were taken from him ‘when the gentiles persecuted me’ – while he was imprisoned in Russia. R’ Yisrael of Ruzhin died during the period of time that the approbation was written and the book was published, so the approbations of his sons Rabbi Shalom Yosef of Ruzin and Rabbi Avraham Yaakov of Sadigura were added.

In addition to the writings of Rabbi Avraham, the work includes elucidations on the Torah by Rabbi Avraham Kalisker of Tiberias and other compilations from prominent Chassidic masters. Rare.
