Rabbi Chaim Vital (1542-1620) was a prominent kabalist, a genius and righteous person. He was the outstanding disciple of the Arizal (Rabbi Yitzchak Luria Ashkenazi). In this work, he presents the kabalistic Torah that he heard from his teacher. The work generated a new approach to the study of kabala and greatly influenced kabalists and the Chassidic movement.
