Important and lengthy letter [4 pages] with Chassidic-family-historic content. Entirely handwritten and signed by the Admo”r Rabbi Avraham Weinberg [III] of Slonim, author of Birkat Avraham . Warsaw, Monday, Terumah, 1927.
The letter is addressed to Rabbi Zelig Weinberg, son of the Birkat Avraham, chock-full of Slonim-Chassidic details about the dynasty’s Admo”rim, and historic details about the Chassidic settlement in Tiberias, mentioning several names, as well as several personal details.
“Here I am now, ten days together with the Admo”r, shlit”a… He said to me that at present, certainly for another month, he will not let me travel … I already wanted to go home, but the Admo”r shlit”a won’t let me … I believe he wants me to stay until after Pesach, G-d willing, so I ask father, shlit”a, to speak with mother to influence her – and you, too – speak well, until she feels the will in her heart and agrees. ”
