The Sarajevo Haggada is a handwritten haggada written in the second half of the 14th century. It was apparently written in Northern Spain and was then brought from place to place until it reached Sarajevo, capital of Bosnia, where it was sold in 1894 and brought to the National Museum of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Its many illustrations and decorations make this haggada unique.
This is a magnificent facsimile of one of the oldest known manuscript haggadot. The book opens with a historic preface and research studies about the Haggada and Haggada illustrations.
Magnificent, new leather binding with matching slipcase. Minimal aging stains. Very fine condition.
