Very beautiful and lengthy [approximately 800 words!] letter of responsum, entirely handwritten and signed by the Admo”r Rabbi Yoel Moskowitz of Shatz, sent to the gaon Rabbi Yosef Rozen, the Rogochover. London, 1932. Apparently unprinted.
The Admo”r opens his letter to the gadol hador with tremendous expressions of humility: “the insignificant asking the great, ” followed by his uncertainties and questions – six halachic questions on Yoreh Deah and Kodshim issues, and an insight he had on the words of the Ramba”m. The Rebbe concludes his letter: “My request from [your] honor and [your] glory is to revive me and respond to me, as it is Hashem’s Torah. Signed, the smallest of disciples, anxiously awaiting [your honor’s] reply, Yoel Moskowitz, son-in-law of the tzaddik Mahara”sh shlit”a.”
